2011 is...

Here I am, sitting in front of my laptop, raking my brains, thinking what I did this year.

Picture of the year.

Well, 2011 has been.. eventful. I've done things that I've never thought I could ever do.

When 2011 first started, I thought my life would be the same old home-college-home routine, and that I'll be studying in Taylors.

Then March came, and I got myself enrolled into MMU. Life's been turned upside down, it's been GREAT!
Especially, since I joined the DJs.

I specially learnt that, life outside the private college's wall is so much more interesting. I thought Taylors is all that. Taylors is good, yes, I know, but its mainly about the friends, and the hangout, and the money spending. The activity that we do, is minimum.

While in MMU, activities is what makes the university alive. By joining the club, I get my chance to go on-air every week, and to EMCEE for the ASC, performance and be part of event committees. This, is life.

[I have my mum to thank for, actually. Took a lot of convincing to get me into MMU. If I were still in Taylors, I'd probably be the spoiltbrat like everybody else. no offence.]

Then, there is me highlighting my hair. Told myself I'd never do that, but well, I did, and I've not regretted it. At least I still keep my hair colour.

And then there's my first job before university. Not to earn money, but to pass time. Planned to work in some kind of office or some sort, then freak out i'll rot to death on the office table, end up working in MPH. Which, isn't working at all, so to say. I'm PAID, to be in a bookshop. Frankly, I'm a book lover. So, working in a book shop is like being at home!

There are, of course some low point from all these excitements, but, I'm willing to put this away, and step into the new year.

It's too dull, so i add a picture.

Promise myself I'll end 2011 in a happy note.

Sticking to the promises I make to myself.

New year eve's today!

Turning 20 in 11 hours.
It's 2012. But I don't want to be 20.
20 is the year where people starts to really look at you as an adult. And expect you to pick up your responsibility.

Those who are born in 1992, YOU PEOPLE, be 20.

I'll be in denial stage till 3rd December 2012.

Its the last day YEAR that I have the number: 1 at the front of my age. Unless YOU want to live till a hundred years old.

Heck, 35 seems old! *freaks out*

Bet most of you have a long long long lists of new year resolutions.

I only have two things on my list.

Go to all my classes, no misses, unless it's important, or I have an MC, or event.
and
Spend less. WAY LESS.

Wish me luck, and pity me. I'm still 19!

Of pencils and paper

I look like this now. Why, why do I do this to myself?

When the DJs got together, laughing to the point of no return.

To be a professional Photo bomb-er, you need skills. I have that unique skills, thanks to RMMU English/Malay Slot. Pictures says it all.

Before the performance, you can actually see me running around drawing on the boy's face. With my eyeliner.

Performance! I was at the back. SOMEWHERE. Playing the keyboard.

After performance. After everything.

Then MAMMAAAKKK again.

Imagine a minimum of 60 person being in two mamak side by side. Whole working and performance crew hangout after the event. Mamak Workers must be petrified.
Last hangout for the RMMU Carnival Night crew. Cherishing the moments we have together. And it's OVER!

No time for nonsense.

Between all the events I have this month,

Emcee-ing at Pullman for ASC2011,
Revive Graduation Party
Midterms,

ASSIGNMENTS

PR Team for
RMMU Carnival Night

and
Performance Rehearsal for Carnival night

followed by
Mamak Sessions,

My nights are mostly booked till 2 in the morning. I like the busy feeling, the feeling where you don't have time to slow down and think about nonsense. I LOVED IT!
I don't even know what to do after the Carnival night.

Now I'm panicking.

Owh, my nicknames,
first, it was Ant.
Then, it was something else,

then it was Bad Rouannce,

now it's Rounanneh.

Thanks. Danny.

Great.

I started making cookies. Just in case Santa gets hungry.

I've been listening to Christmas songs for the past few days.

Recorded a Christmas Jingle in the studio 2 days ago.

Here's the result: CLICK HERE
I can't upload it here, don't ask why, but its the same. ONE click away.

Quite proud of it, actually. Being a DJ and everything. Never thought I could do it, but, HERE I AM!

Tune in to me every MONDAY from 1-2pm. Radio MMU < click here for the website.

Life's good. When you have things to do, events to plan and things to expect.

All I want for Christmas is You.

WHO Thought of that tittle? I mean yeah, I want you, but FOR CHRISTMAS?

Give me a full on party anytime. I'm craving for one. I need my adrenaline pumping.

or Snowing right here.

But since Global warming is causing everything go haywire, I won't be surprised if it snows. but then, it might be an apocalypse.

3rd December

Spent the first minute of my birthday, talking to my best friend. He called ALL THE WAY FROM UK. Nearly teared up. If there's nobody around [ I was having ASC Rehearsal], I might have teared up and cry.

The one on the far right. Is mah bestfriend.

AND,
I just realised.

I spent my birthday with these people.

In an executive suite. With. LOADS OF PILLOW.

and also to be doing something I like.

I didnt say it out loud, but,

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.

We emcees

Have you ever attend an event before?

If yes, have you ever what emcees do, behind the scene?

No?

I used to wonder that too. Before I became an emcee myself.

I'm not speaking on behalf of all the emcees, but the ones in ASC2011.

While you're thinking you look cool sitting in groups playing games or sitting on the chairs listening to the talks, we're sitting by the corner, laughing and joking.

Cause the talk has nothing to do with us. It's all Accountant stuffs.

We do crosswords, we do word puzzles, joke around, sleep on the table.. and draw. I think we wasted A LOT of papers doing that.
What are we suppose to do?

I use to think emcees are cool. Cause they can talk and stuff and they look so authorized  and involved, but truth is, we're fooling around.

We urge you to come to the talks early, truth is, when you're already having your breakfast in the cafe or waiting to enter the hall, we're still lying on the bed.

We're told, breakfast starts at 6.30 for you guys and 7.30 for the participants, we're still in bed at 7.45. [Trust me. the bed's heavenly]

Event starting at 8.30, we're having our breakfast at 8.30.

Event can't start without emcee, right?

You see emcees discussing by the podium, we're actually moaning about you asking too much questions to the speakers.

Oh. And we take a lot of pictures. A LOT.

Sincerely,
Emcees.

I sound cocky. But, MEHH.

and P.S. To all ASC Committee, if you're reading this, go brush up your event planning skills. It sucked so much, we have to help you plan ahead. It's like you just book a room, then throw everything for us to do on the spot. 200 bucks for emcees [ not per person] isn't enough. We should charge you on even planning too.

If I was not mistaken, we're playing word puzzles. and drawing. And the yellow shirt dude is a tech guy.

Its things like this that made us cherish what we have

My favourite part of the day,

would be sunset.

Snapped this picture using my friend's phone [Sony Ericsson Xperia] to snap it when we were on the way somewhere.

pretty no? :)

You don't have to get so early out of bed to see it, plus, you dont have to fly anywhere to see it. We have it here in our country.

Grass is always greener on the other side of the river. (i think)

Emcee-ing for Accounting Student Conference 2011

First time emcee-ing for such huge event. Thanks, for such a great opportunity.

Accountants are.. well.. accountants. Serious. There're only a handful of fun-loving Accountants.

They need us EMCEES [we're not accountants. we're from DJ Club] to start clapping and cheering before they follow up. For their friends, or for the performers or the speakers.

Me and Stan: *face-palm, look at each other, sigh* Accountants.

And watching the accountants having fun is torture, FYI.

Did a lot of talking, and apparently, a lot of photographing. Apart from Ann Na's phone, we hijacked a committee's DSLR and took 92387492384287239 photos.
A album of photos of Members of DJ Club alone.

My favourite of all.
Manager: AnnNa,
Emcee Partner: Stanley,
Manager: Preet.

Before check out, was waiting for Danny to get his bag, end up taking pictures, which two, I'm really proud of.

Seems like RouanneStark is a brand and there are 2 different perfume.
ELEGANCE & SWAGGER.

It MIGHT be.

I can now work for advertising.

owh. And they complain that my dress and skirt is too short.
It's knee length.
*face-palm*

ACCOUNTANTS.

get it?
