STOP LYNAS

As a green peace nerd as I am today, I have to say, I am, a disappointment for just realizing exactly what LYNAS is.

I haven't have the time to, excuses aside, frankly, I didn't really focus on what's going on to the green lately, as i was, regretfully, addicted to some TV Series.

LYNAS causes radiation of some sort, which, the government took the project from Australia, stupidly, thinking they could make money from whatever they're doing.

So, pardon my language, LYNAS, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MALAYSIA, and government, for the sake of the people -hope I won't get into jail for this- use what you're born with (your brain, if you still don't get what I'm trying to say) and stop them.

Shepherd Chicken Pie

Parents went up North today, so I got the chance of taking over the kitchen. After a war with the maid (which didn't really happen), me and a friend of mine started attacking the kitchen.

I went to gojee.com for recipe, which, the recipe is superbly usable, Shepherd Chicken Pie @ Food&Whine (click for the website). Though we didn't use some of the recipe as we can't find some of them (onion powder) and we ignored the sour cream (frankly, I hated it), and we changed beef to chicken, and some other recipe to suit our taste.

Since my 12.1megapixel camera is taking a vacation from its battery, I tried my best with a 5megapix camera phone.

After 5 minutes of me screaming: COME LOOK! IS THE CHICKEN COOKED YET?!,

Shepherd Chicken Pie, without the toppings.
The fluffy mash potato, that oddly, looks a lot like rice.
Covering the pot up,
and into the oven it goes!

After 25 minutes of sauna in the oven, the pie is finally done!

now, DROOL!

Accompanied by Orange Vodka Cocktail my friend fixed up, dinner was a success!

Sister was scraping the sides of the pot for mashed potato, screaming for more. Success by the first try, I'm contented.
Credit goes to my-friend-who-must-not-be-named who whipped up the wonderful cocktail and boiled the potato, and my maid who chopped all the onions and chicken, cause honestly, I sucked at it.

While visiting relatives, went back to grandpa and grandma's old house today. My mum grew up in this house, and then my grandparents still live there till 6, 7 years ago. I was always there as a kid everytime we went back for a visit.

The place brought back so much memories. The grandfather clock that sits at the corner of the living room.

And the stairs me and my cousin use to run up and down in. 3 floors of places for us to run around and play pretend.
This, was my childhood fun place.

Of piglets and she-male

So. Chinese new year is finally here!

Chinese New Year reunion dinner went as normal, seeing aunts and uncles and cousins (from my dad's side) I haven't seen since grandma's birthday.
(We gather 2 times in a year. CNY Reunion, and Grandmother's birthday.)

The camera was with me during the night, so I took a few snapshots of the night.

The food was okay, but it was made unappetizing by this she-male who sing and dance during the dinner.

The restaurant was crowded with people, and according to my aunt, even when we reserved the place 6 months in advance, we still can't get the private room.

The food wasn't good. My uncle claimed that it tasted like the food that is given to the elderly (those without teeth). And it was overpriced. Combined with the singing and dancing and performance on stage, it is as if we're attending a typical Chinese weddings with old uncles and amas singing on stage. Only that it's with complete strangers, and also minus the yumsengs.

The only food that was tad okay is this.
piglet, and entertainment of my cousin devouring the head.

We had 'Sharkfin' soup, and my aunt came over to our table and told me, with a serious face, there's real sharkfin in it, knowing I was against brutal killings. I was horrified, staring at the half gone bowl of soup I had in front of me.

And then she started laughing.

Dad was telling all the other uncles and aunts: SHE GREEN PEACE ONE.

Bad food, memories were good though. Horrifying she-male made the night even more unforgettable.

Makes me smile.

The past, now and then.

See the difference? It's me!

Well, Happy Chinese New Year, people.

Plus, started CNY with a Manchester United win!

Missing December, but January wasn't bad either.

It's JANUARY! December was a blast, but the first week of January was, well, exciting as well.

Whenever my friend asked me where was I, I'll name her a different place, resulting the reaction of: YOU GO OUT WAY TOO MUCH.

So. The most exciting thing would be.. FLY FM VISIT!
That's Ben, sitting down, and the one in green would be Phat Fabes! Interesting visit to the studio where they broadcast. We were in there, for a few times, when they were going on air, which was, AWESOME!
Trying to be bitchy. Not our thing eh!

And my first job as emcee manager, works out quite well, it seems!

Being with the DJs, I had the opportunity to learn, and do things that most people are dying to do.

And I realised most of my past posts are about the DJs.

It's not like I don't have friends outside the DJ club.

I DO.

*crying in the corner*

I really do.
